    Margin Issues (IE & Firefox)

    Please take a look at http://www.skybiz.co.uk/4csplumbing/...-in-london.php

    See the sub-menu down the left hand side (The green rectangles under the About Us button)? I'm having problems with the bottom margins on them in both IE and Firefox.

    The Problem in IE

    The margin occassionally disappears on hover, causing the page to jump a bit.

    The Problem In Firefox

    The margin on one of the links just isn't there at all.

    Does anyone know what is causing this?

    Thanks.

    Thanks for pointing out that error, though it isn't related to to the issue I posted about.

    I've fixed the problem in IE by setting the margin to the top instead of bottom; I've still got the problem in Firefox though if anyone has any clues.

    Thanks.

    HI,
    The Problem In Firefox
    The margin on one of the links just isn't there at all.
    This problem has been fixed in firefox 1.5 and is a roundng bug that occurs on certain font-sizes and line-height settings causing the odd pixel to disappear.

    Change the body font-size as follows and hopefully the gap should return.

    Code:
    body {
    background-color: #DDDACC;
    margin: 0px;
    padding: 0px;
    background-image: url(http://www.skybiz.co.uk/4csplumbing//images/bodybg.gif);
    background-position: left top;
    font-family: Tahoma, Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
    font-size: 73%;
    color: #625B44;
    line-height: 1.3em;
    }
    I couldn't see a jumping problem in ie but if you still have a problem than its probably a "layout" issue (see faq) so try giving the list a correct widths also.

    Hi Paul - thanks for that. Worked a treat.

    I'd already fixed the problem in IE, just by setting the margin to the top instead of bottom. Not really sure why it made any difference, but hey ho!
