    aligning w/o tables using css

    Hello all!

    I've got a question...I would like to align two rolls side-by-side without using tables. In HTML I would have used <tr><td>first set</td><td>second set</td></tr> to achive this. Is there any way using css to do this.

    Here's an example:

    <table width=80%>
    <tr>
    <TD align=middle WIDTH=40%>word one
    <p>word two
    <P>word three
    <P>word four
    <P>word five
    </td>

    <TD ALIGN=LEFT VALIGN=MIDDLE WIDTH=40%>
    word six
    <P>Word seven
    <P>word eight
    <P>word nine
    <p>word ten
    </TD>
    </TR>
    </TABLE>

    would look something like this:

    word one word six
    word two word seven
    word three word eight
    word four word nine
    word five word ten

    Hope this helps...

    Thanks everyone,

    Sundari

    Well, the easiest way to do it would be to use DIV. You could use inline styles or you could whip up a stylesheet to go on every page:

    .divOne {width: 50%; position: absolute; left: 0%; }

    .divTwo {width: 50%; position: absolute; left: 50%; }

    BUT, this will not work in Netscape. Take a read here to learn more about multiple column layout using CSS:
