Installing MySQL on a apache server...

Does anyone have any idea how to do this?

I think I might have it installed, but I need to get it configured and working..

Generally my linux server is working, but nothing is configured..so can anyone on here help me setup my apache server TOTALLY?

ummm. apache server comes with extensive documentation. I would check that out first, then post here if you have any questions

You dont really install MySQL on Apache more on the OS, which is ??? - it would help to know which (redhat/mandrake etc)

if you opted for a server installation form a CD or similar apache is almost certainly running anyway (probably along with postgreSQL as a DB?) - type 'top' to see whats already running on your system.

You don't need Apache to run MySQL. Apache is a web server. It's serves HTML, PHP etc... MySQL is a database server. It's a stand-alone product.
