    Straight from the horses mouth...

    http://www.w3c.org/Style/CSS/

Scroll down a little bit and you'll see the W3c recommendations for CSS books.

My personal recommendation is "Designers Guide to Stylesheets" by Steven Mulder:

I use O'Reilly CSS book which I find very helpful - also worth checking out these links which give you code for css laying out pages (without tables!)

I really like the "Visual Quickstart Guides"

"DHTML and CSS for the World Wide Web" by Jason Teague is a great book. I learned a lot about CSS, and these books are really easy to understand. I've bought about 6 books in the Visual Quickstart series.

    I am reading this book...
Cascading Style Sheets: Designing for the Web
Second Edition by Håkon Lie and Bert Bos

Its a great book espcecially because its authors are the authorities in CSS being in the forefront of the W3C's StyleSheet Project.

    Its 27.99 on Amazon.com

I heard a lot of good stuff about the complete CSS reference book, but I was just wondering, does it just list all the css properties and what they do, or do they explain all the things it mentions..

I'm also interesting in that CSS: design for the web book. Has anyone else read it and liked it?
