Force page to appear in the CHILD frame

    Hi,
I know of the scripts that can "break" the frames of other sites and load them onto the top frame. I have also seen the scripts that will load up the appropriate frameset and then load the page within that.

Now, the situation here is that we are opening external pages from the left frame into the main frame. We don't want these pages to break our frame set and load on the full window. We either want them to be in the main frame or open a new window for the page.

    How can we do this?

    TIA.

    Best Regards,
    Kapil

I think I remember how to do this. In your link in the left frame to an external page, use this:
    Code:
    <A href="http://www.whatever.com/whatever.html" target="main">Link Title</A>
Or, you could use target="_blank or target="new" to get a whole new window. Not sure on this, but it is worth a shot. Good luck!

That's it. You can load ANY page within your frameset as long as you have the target correct. Simply add target="your frame name" to the HREF tag. Of course this precludes pages that have the "break this page out of frames" script on them.
