    Selling advertising?

I've been selling advertising on my site (http://www.computertim.com) for a few months now. And with no results. I haven't found a single advertiser yet.

I receive the amount of traffic which would be interesting for advertisers, but I'm not able to find any advertisers.

I've tried contacting a few companies already regarding advertising on the site, and I received no response.

Thanks for any help anyone here at the forums can provide!

The online advertising industry has really taken a dive this past year no one is willing to pay for anything but profitable results.

Maybe you should try advertising yourself or affiliate program stuff - maybe this post will find someone who's will to advertise.

If you think you can produce results give advertising for free but take a fee of every sale you give them!!

    Try this

apsen was suggesting www.burstmedia.com, apply at that ad network, also you might want to consider www.adbase.net

Computer Training sponsors are hard to get these days, I run findtutorials.com believe me I know, you should try sesveral networks, or maybe start selling some services from your site.

Affiliate programs might be a good idea as well..

    Good luck

I've been running the Amazon Associates program for a while with no major results.

What industries should I target for selling advertising? I've been thinking of contacting some more companies directly but I don't what industry to target.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi,

Not sure if you've heard of this idea of creating syndicates but basically webmasters are coming together in order to try and secure large contracts. It's been discussed on other forums and I am talking to W. Luke about it now. Anyway it might help your site.

fonzerelli_79 it does seem to be good and won't hurt you a bit by signig up, they have already sent me one offer, it was cpa but it was a very good price cpa, and well worth it.

I am hoping for some more in the future.

    fingers crossed

Some of these networks offer you $1.00 cpm when you could get $25.00 from a company direct

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I should approach companies I think may be interested in advertising on my site?

I'm really stuck to find advertisers. (Not even one yet.)

It's been over a month and I've thrown out the line again, and haven't even had a tug.

    Thanks for your help...

    computer tim

i saw this idea on trafficology

just go to goto/overture and type in your keyword

you'll see lots of sites payong ridiculous prices for the oneclick

then all you have to do is drop then an email saying that your price is way cheaper

tell us all how it goes
