    Keyword Density Analyzer

What is going on with this tool? Is it just me or does it not give the %'s anymore?

    http://www.keyworddensity.com/

Does anyone have an alternative one, please?

Well, i still haven't found one that did what www.keyworddensity.com did. You could type in a URL and a key phrase that you wanted to analyze and it gave a percentage for that page. It was invaluable. I need one just like it. I will keep on and if I find one I will let you know.

It's even better than the one I was using! Thanks for taking the time, Warwick.

I just had a look at that page, and it appears that the keyword analyzer is not the only thing good about it - goddamn that is a useful resource!

I really think you for digging that one up!

How do you use keyword density??

How do you use the keyword density analyzer?
In what ways would it help your search engine rankings?

I KNOW! That site is awesome, thanks again to Warwick.

Klaatoo, you need to know the keyword desitiy percentage for a particluar key phrase/word to rank well in certain search engines. That percentage changes from time to time and from search engine to search engine...and from key word to key word.

For example, I am trying to get a keyword desity % of 5% on a client's home page for a certain keyword phrase to rank well on Google. That is not the only determining facotor of good rankings but it is one of the very important ones.

    Thanks phanie12.geo

What is a good %? How do you determine what a good % would be? Sorry for all the questions, but I'm new at this.

Klaatoo, I don't mind the questions

Take a site that ranks well on a search engine that you know uses keyword density as a criteria and run it through the analyzer, then take the 2nd best ranking site and do the same. Do this for the top 3-5 sites. Then you can begin to get an idea of what the % should be at that particular indexing. If the % are all over the palce then some other criteria may be affecting the ranks (link popularity?)

If you want to read up on this you can learn a lot from these forums:
