Link to Zend Framework - Funny Problem

The link to the php|architect tutorial on how to use the framework is redirecting me to Microsoft's website.

If that's happening to everyone, I find it very amusing.

That's because they've messed up the url to the tutorial.

    HTML Code:
    <a href="http://http://www.phparch.com/zftut/">great new tutorial</a>

The link is broken .. There's two times http:// in it (http://http//www.phparch.com/zftut/) ... The really sad thing is that m$ is hijacking 404's and sending you to their site. You can disable that though.

Odd. That happens for me too. If you google for http://http microsoft comes out on top aswell. Perhaps they somehow managed to register http as a toplevel domain ?

No, because of the invalid URL Firefox does a Google search for 'http' and redirects you to the first result, which happens to be microsoft.com

All I know is that that broken link has turned me into an ASP.NET developer.

They have not hijacked Safari. I get the standard "Safari can't find the server" message.

I also don't get Microsoft in a Google search for "http://http". www.http-tunnel.com comes out on top for me, which makes sense. Microsoft is no where to be seen in the results.

    Apple wins again!

Not a bug? what a load of crap.

Interestingly, Microsoft is the second result through google.com.au.

This has been there for some time. I remember referring to it as a "transit of Microsoft" at a time when the transit of Venus (June 8, 2004) was still relatively recent.

Which makes sense because if you were typing in a URL and forgot the period you would only want to search on the stuff before the forward slash if you're looking for the homepage.
