accessing and copying a file from a remote computer?

    Hi,

I want to access a (xml) file on a remote computer and copy it physically in a directory on the server where my script/page is located: can someone tell me which functions I'll need for that beside fopen()?

I'm not too sure about the copy-process...

    THX!

www.php.net/copy should help you as long as you have permission to copy the file that is.....

It can be to a remote machine but you would have to use a proper transfer protocol (ftp) and pass the permissions in the calling string...which may not be the best thing in the world to do unless maybe using sftp.
