    Conversion rate/daily uniques

I noticed that usually when a site reports its conversion rate it is based on the number of orders/month X uniques/month. The average conversion in this scenario seems to be 2%. But conversion based on the number of orders/day X uniques/day is not quite the same thing.

Does anyone know the average conversion rate in both methods of analysis? Is there a web site that gives this stats? what's your conversion rate?

    Thanks

I would think that both methods would yield the same results when averaged out. The conversion rate using the monthly averaging system is around .4% on my picture-land site. I suspect that this number varies greatly depending on the price of the items sold on the site.
