    How can I earn revenue with a community?

    Hi guys,

    I was wondering what are some of the best ways to make some regular commission with a community of mine.

    Here's a link to my community -> http://www.geek365.com

    I'll appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

    AMAZON

    Hi Caesar,

    Try inserting some banner ads for programming books(based on your site). A good source of them would be to sign up as an affiliate at Amazon.com.

    i agree with what John said, most banner add networks will not advertise on forum only sites, i would try running something like what sitepoint has got, but using affiliate programs, personally tho i would try to build up the userbase before doing this.

    Do you have a content-rich newsletter that is sent out on a regular basis to your registered members? If not, you better get one.

    Fill it with fresh articles and helpful tips. While you're at it, write a short book review of your most useful book. Afterwards, include your referral link to the book at Amazon. This may not seem like much, but it will add up.

    As time goes by, you'll earn the trust of your members. They'll be more likely to purchase your recommended books and register for any software you promote.
