Amazon.com

Hi, I was reading on a previous post about the great success Aspen was having with Amazon.com.
Im getting around 3 sales per 100 click throughs.
I was wondering what sort of convertion ratios others are getting with Amazon?

I am getting approximately 1 sale for every 7 clicks from my Wilderness Survival site.

But I also really push it on my website.

If you just throw Amazon buttons and search boxes on your site you won't do much. Same can be said for any affiliate for that matter.

Adding links to specific products and products that add value to the subject of your site helps more.

Hi Aspen, im very impressed with your Amazon success, and even more so with the way you have presented amazon on your site, it certainly has given me motivation to give amazon a push again....hopefully i can increase my convertion ratio....your convertion of 1 in 7 is fantastic....just wondering, wat sort of convertions are you getting with your literature site?
Is it similar to the wilderness convertions or vastly different?...if such....it will show you need to be promting the RIGHT book, not just any book.

Well its hard to measure... where with my wilderess survival site I get 50-100 clicks a day(out of about 2000 views of the "book box"). With my literature site I get considerably less clicks. 10 or so a day. Thats with 6000 or so views of the amazon.com button, 6000 or so views of the amazon.com banner, and who knows how many views of the links I have scattered about on each author/book page per day

I've been running the Survival Book box for 11 days, I just instituted a popup promoting it but I don't have stats for that yet.

344 clicks on my survival book link resulted in 25 sales of that book and 23 sales of related books (customers who bought this item also bought....)

People come to my wilderness site looking for wilderness survival information... so an informative book is attractive to them.

People go to my literature site usually to research a paper or look up a quote/line/phrase etc using my search feature... They usually aren't looking to buy the book.

In both cases I'm basically offering the book online for free too.

Weekly, I have a featured product along with my couple-page store, and I've had 3 products bought in the past 4 months I've been using Amazon.

Not much success with them yet...
