Problem gbuy.com domain.

I been working on my online store for several months now, I planed to launch my online store sometime next month, name is Goods Buy and been wanting to use a easy to remember domain www.gbuy.com. However recently i've learned about Google's Gbuy payment system emerging, it is possible that they may need my domain. So I want your opinion on this.

1) Should I get the domain and start my shop as i planned for months, and if goggle needs it, let them put forth a good offer?

2) OR wait until Gbuy launches and see if they actually intend to use the domain or not.

3) OR.. use some other domain than gbuy.com...

Sad news... I had the domain, gave it to my cousin to use while I was developing my store, she sold it cheaply to someone else unaware of the googles gbuy. Just checked in yesterday, I was really shocked. You see all this time I thought i had it kept safe with my cousin.

And the new owner isn't responding to any of the emails. ShytKicka, is even willing to buy it off me for a generous sum. But the new owner has yet to respond.

Try and look for that owner on forums. Domain forums. Where usually domainers hang around.

And then searh about your domain name on that forums.

When you find the guy talking about or asking an appraisal then send a PM to him.

All this only takes 1 hour.

Gbuy is now owned by Trout & Zimmer, who at one time were listed as the admin contact for gmail, googlemail and gcalendar. They appear to be a front company for Google to pick up domains anonymously....and cheaply.

I would bet my entire domain portfolio that you will never get the domain. It looks like a law firm has it registered--probably Google's reps. Start looking for another domain name.
