Hi everyone,

This is my first post at Sitepoint although I read the forums and the newsletters every week. And of course, read the books.

I have noticed that Yahoo, now Yahoo 7, comes with a new front page design that requires a wider screen resolution of 1024x768.

Do you know what is the standard screen resolution the average user has in Australia and New Zealand? Any figures or statistics you know of please?

The question comes because Australia has been known for its stand against online discrimination and for upholding Human Rights in the digital arena but I could not find any statistical information on screen resolutions in Australia and New Zealand. Although we assume that Yahoo followed the information collected from users I have no real data to back the assumption.

Many thanks in advance,
