    New Browsercam Group Purchase

As I wrote here already twice when we created a nice group at fundable for browsercam, the time passed by very fast, most of us are extending again, but some slots are available.

    Here are the details:

    BrowserCam Group Purchase ID: groupaction.2008-03-19.3400336389
link to Group at Fundable: https://www.fundable.com/groupaction...-19.3400336389
number of the group members needed: only 4 slots open so far.

This is the "Complete Browsercam", per person 25 US$.

I was going to start a new group for a premium account, but I see on the plans page that the annual subscriptions only have 10 users now. (Wasn't it 25 before?)

    Am I missing a deal/bargain/coupon/etc.?

Is anybody up for a premium subscription? 10 users makes it $100/each, but if it's supposed to be 25 users, and someone can manage that, it will only be $40.

Um... holy cow. I just googled for browsercam 25 users. The snippet from this thread I just posted within the last 20 minutes is already indexed in google and ranking for this term at #7. That's as quick as I've ever seen anything like that happen. Posted at 10:21, ranking at 10:38. Wow.

--FOLLOW UP - new group buy

OK - so I wrote an e-mail to browsercam.com and this is what they told me:

    Hello Steve -

Our Annual BC-Premium subscriptions still allow a maximum of 25 users. All other Annual subscriptions have a limit of 10 users.

    BrowserCam Customer Service
Judging from this, The capture plan at $400 for 10 users is the same cost for us as the Premium Plan with 25 users - $40/each /year.

I've gone ahead and started a fund, and the link is here. For those who haven't used fundable before (like me), you pay now via paypal, and if we don't get enough users, all money is refunded. Hopefully we can get enough people before the deadline of 4/24/08. I have it set so that it ends as soon as we have enough pledges, and I'll get the account paid for and created ASAP once we do.

I suggest getting in before they raise their prices again!

here is the info you were looking for, the special is posted on fundable that they add extra users to the premium package:
    https://www.fundable.com/browsercam

And some more info a little hard to find here:
    http://www.browsercam.com/Affiliates.aspx

you won't get any money yourself, it is transfered to browsercam directly.

you really get what they tell u there. you will be happy using browsercam, we are already in year 3 and most people extended it (not having premium, just complete). Even if you don't use it that often (like me), still its worth its money, as when u need it, its very helpfull.

That's awesome. It looked like I was going to have to eat $70 or $80 in fees and worry about fronting the money while I waited for payment from fundable. So far 3 takers - 22 spots left.

We had a group purchase that just expired, so we decided that anyone from it who wants to renew is throwing in with evetS' action. We had 15 members who paid $66 each last year, so if enough of us sign up then we can get real close to the 25 x $40 for this one, but if we still fall short then we should at least be able to bring the cost down to maybe $50 each.

Wow - that's pretty good timing. I frankly hadn't thought of the possibility of doing a smaller group, but if we fall short I'm definitely up for it. With 12 slots open now, we'd be at $76 person and I'm sure it'll shrink significantly when you guys join in.

If we end up just barely shy of 25, I'll pay for a couple of slots myself to make up the difference. I've been wanting one of these accounts for a long time.

7 more needed (if my calculations are correct) and 7 days left. We need one per day. Even if this one fails I would be up for just splitting the $1000 between the people we've got. Currently this would be $55.56.

    Renewing a group purchase

I'm hoping someone who has previous experience with group purchases can answer this question. I was part of the 15-person premium group purchase that just expired. I knew our group was going to expire, but didn't know what the process was for renewing (I wasn't the group leader), so I found this group the day ours expired and quickly jumped in.

Can someone who has done this before tell me what happens when the year is up? Will evetS will get the opportunity to renew with enough time to add new people to the group for anyone who wants to drop out, or does he just have to start a new group and we all join it?

Thanks - I'll sleep better next April if I know what to expect!

I have no idea what to expect next year, but I would be surprised if I didn't get a notification that the account was expiring. I suppose it will come down to how much I'm paying attention to my e-mail at the time, and how much time I have to organize an effort to renew. I expect to be able to manage this well in 1 year, but I'm just trying to be realistic. I'll shoot a message over to browsercam support when I get the account and see if I can't set up multiple notification addresses or even a global alert message.

We have 5 spots left and just over 6 days remaining before this effort ends. At this point I am very confident that we will reach our goal of 25 users, so if anybody out there is lingering - please jump in ASAP.

I hate to just non-stop post over here, but we're down to one spot left!

If you want in on this deal, hop in now or forever hold your peace.

I wouldn't be surprised if the final slot was filled in today.
