    Creating saved custom queries

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm working with someone who has an existing MySQL db and who wants a simple web interface that allows him to create and store custom database queries.

We use phpMyadmin, but is there anything else out there that is more geared to the end user who wants to view data and generate reports. Looking for GPL, open source or cheap.

phpmyadmin is exactly what you want. if you don't give him rights to delete data or modify table structure, etc., he won't be able to and phpmyadmin will hide those parts of the user interface. you can also store queries.

are you looking for an application to help your client create queries without having to understand SQL? i've used plenty in the past, and they're all crap.

That's what I was after ... this guy is not going to be able to do his own SQL. Anyone have any suggestions?
