Conversion dropped after putting audio? Any sugegstion?

Hello Guys,

I have recently put audio on my website using sitepal.com.

I installed the audio (text - to - speech) on my home page at http://www.easysiteedit.com/

Surprisingly, I am finding lesser number of signups (sales) and "bookmark" (as reported by AwStats compared to what I was getting a week back.

I have a steady (in fact increasing) number of unique visitors.

Any suggestion? Have you experienced anything simmilar? any advise or tip will be appriciated. I am unable to realize since I have been working on it for quite some time and to me everything looks great!

LOL - beat me to it.

Audio should be someone a visitor specifically requests ('click here to listen to demo'), not something suddenly forced on them at 6am after they forgot to turn off their PC's speakers (swiftly followed by baby waking etc)

It's VERY intrusive to have this forced upon you, especially that Stephen Hawking-esque voice at full blast.

Make the audio 'opt-in' or drop it entirely.

Just changed the setting and made it optional so that a user can switch it on if he wishes!

I would take it off the front page, maybe add it on a landing page. I sometimes open many sites, and when I hear annoying audio, go to each one and see where it's coming from, than close that site.
