    Superb File Sharing Tool

iMesh has recently emerged as the most likely file-sharing tool to succeed Napster. You can use it to search for MP3s, images, sounds files, documents and video.

    COST: free
    DEVELOPERS: iMesh www.imesh.com

PROS: great interface and lots of features, excellent file sharing speed.

CONS: still quite a small network

I'm using WinMX and just LOVE it. The only two problems i've run into are

    1. The search can get funky if you do two searches at once.
2.<rant> The losers that demand "trade only" and not open exchange. To them I give a stiff middle finger. </rant>

iMesh sounds promissing, but their website is so slow. Is it always that slow? I'll have to come back some other time.

For some reason, my mind is telling me iMesh is spyware. Can someone confirm this? Never used it myself.

I'm a Morpheus enthusiast. And contrary to what Nicky said, I think this is going to surpass Napster. It has emerged as #1-most downloaded program on Download.com for the last few months. iMesh has always been top 15, but isn't really gaining any ground. I got onto Morpheus just before its popularity exploded.

I tried iMesh for about a day and didn't like it because it didn't have a player.

Hasn't anyone tried KaZaA? I think it's awesome. It's got a player, an awesome interface, downloads are never "queued" or "canceled". You can share music, video, images, documents, software.

    Get it at www.kazaa.com

When you download it, make sure you check for it to only install KaZaA and none of the extra stuff.

Hello, people? KaZaa did implant and might still implant hijacking SCUMWARE on your computer. You know, a big deal has been made of this on the 'Net, including SitePoint: http://www.sitepointforums.com/showt...threadid=32094

Anyone know if it still comes with TopText on it?
