Word Press - allow guests to post entries?
I setup wordpress 2.0 for a new site but its not working out quite the way I would like it to. I want guests to be able to submit new entries with a simple interface. I dont think it does this out of the box although it does this quite nicely with replies to enties though.
Is there a way to do this or is there an alternate script that would be better suited for the job?

Hello
Yes, they will have to register or you can add new users as well, but after a user has been registered, you will have the option to upgrade there "Role" In WP 2 goto Users>Authors and Users.
Look down below there username field there is a drop down box where you can set there role, set it to the desired choice and click the Update user at the bottom.
Hope it helps

This should be fairly easy. In Options:
General: Anyone can register
New User Default Role: Author
This will allow any registered user to post an article.

I'd like to skip the user registration step though. I am trying to get alot of people to post a story and I doubt they will have more than one or two.

Ewwww....
You could modify the Wordpress login page, so that the standard login details for "Guest" were included there. They'd need to click "login", but that'd be it...
