    ex-Everyone.net

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here could help me? I've been using everyone.net for my mail service on my site for the past few years, and although the service they provide is OK, I am getting fed up with it, and I want to change.

I don't know what I want to change too yet, maybe my own email service using a PHP script or somthing, but what i'm worried about is my users, how will I be able to get the users information required, I've got about 500 users at the moment, and I don't want to loose them.

If anyone knows of a painless way of moving my service i'd apprechate it, thanx.

I don't know of a painless way to deal with this. Your best bet is to email all of your users about the change and add them all by hand. Most good programs will have a "mass add" type of function.

    good luck,

Thank you, This is what I was thinking i'd have to do, which is a shame, but at the end of the day it's all about service, can anyone suggest a good webmail program that I can install?

I have a php email system currently being integrated with vbulletin, and phpauction. All 3 scripts will use vbulletin registration form to sign up users. I'm not sure how stable this would be, but if you're interested in sharing the cost, let me know. It should be ready in a month.

Now this sounds like quite a good idea, the only problem is that after getting a lot of advice from both here and other forums, I've decided to stay with everyone.net for the moment, if only for the cost reasons, i'm working to zero budget, and if i was to use my own mail system, my bandwidth and HDD space costs would rocket.

I love the idea though, the ability to get users to sign up to a forum and email at the same time, very cool, maybe at some point in the future if I can get a better budget, i'll be interested in looking into it, when you have something complete, post the link to your site here and i'll keep you in mind
