MySQL Performance Issues (need tutorials!)
I'm developing my first php+mysql application and it's going pretty well, however, one thing I'm concerned about is performance.
What are the most important principles to keep in mind when i code?
I figure the most important are:
1- trying to use the least required data type (ie using tinyint over integer where possible etc)
2- trying to use as few queries as possible
3- using a caching system like phpcache
could you steer me in the right direction by providing some links to tutorials or articles about mysql performance?
I'd also like to know the fastest php functions to get the job done etc..
