Getting a large art site listed

    Hello everyone,

I recently set up a Web site at: http://www.jabroart.com
I put META tags on almost every page, used descriptive titles, registered it with the major search engines (not directories yet), got put on a number of nice Web rings but am now a little stuck. What should I do next?

One of the problems for me right now is finding a suitable category at Yahoo.com, DMOZ.org, etc. All the categories are very specific but the site has a very broad range of artwork and I don't want to reduce the chance of exposure by just placing it under "paintings" or "sculptures", etc.

I will soon add a "links" and "what's new" page. A monthly newsletter is also planned. Anything more I could do? I'd like to get more hits soon, search engines can take up to 8 weeks to "spider" a site.

I asked this question at another board and people suggested that it would be better to submit it to online galleries/portals, but I don't want to give up on Yahoo & DMOZ just yet. Any suggestions?

    Have a pleasant day.

Instead of trying to get the main site listed try to get pages on the site listed.

Sculpture page under sculpture, oil painting under oil painting

etc etc so on and so forth

Also you page loads extremely slow, and I'm on a cable modem where I regularly download at 2mbps
