Not off to a good start

I am attempting my first CSS styled layout and must admit I am feelting the urger to go back to tables !.

The site in question is at http://zpwsecretarial.co.uk/test/

I am really strugglinf to get the layout to resemble thenthree column layout I am looking for.

The first column ( on the left) seems to be the problem as it causes the next two to be positioned below and to the right.

Where am I going wrong !!.

    Any help appreciated.

    Richard

Don't use clear in your .news_right and your middle .content doesn't have a width. Set that for some number that will allow all three divs to fit.

Many thanks - that did the trick.

What does the "Clear" bit do anyway ?

I was where you were 2 weeks ago, now its all become 'clear'. Mainly thanks to this very forum.

Don't give up with the CSS, it doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to start with, but persevere, its well worth it and it does get easier.
