    Strange RoR error message in OS X

    Following an install of RoR everything worked properly I played around with it for two hours no prob. Later that day I decided to poke around some more. I start a new project from terminal

    rails test

    This is the error I got.

    /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems/source_index.rb:74:in `load_specification': undefined method `cert_chain=' for #<Gem::Specification:0x229950> (NoMethodError)

    from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/rubygems.rb:31:in `require_gem'
    from /usr/bin/rails:17

    I have seen that other people have get this message as well its really odd. I entered another user account ran the exact same install and everything worked perfectly and continues to do so to this day. Any thoughts?

    I'd try reinstalling the gem (and all it's dependencies, i.e activerecord, actionpack, rake, etc..)
