Data Protection Act - What should I consider?
On one of my sites I maintain (a local cycling club), I am looking into coding a system that will allow Committee members to store Members contact details (address, email, phone number ) in a back-end Access database fronted by classic ASP. Currently I have a Control Panel installed on my site which relies on cookies.
The reason why I am debating using a system such as this is because at the moment we have around 5 copies of the same database in circulation all with some slight errors in them. This solution will men that there will be one master database insead of several
My new system will allow committee members to add, delete and update records where necessary.
What I am asking here, is two questions. How secure is Access and classic ASP for holding info such as this and should I need to conside anything regarding the Data Protection Act?
Thanks for your help
