Are long name domains good or bad?

Hi, I bought a domain that is my full name, without hyphens or anything else in between. But it is fourteen characters long. I wanted my last name only which would be nine but it was already taken. And my first name is just too common. So what do you guys think about a domain name that is fourteen characters long? Does it even matter?

This site is just going to be my personal site to show off my work, showcase my skills, etc.

If its your name then its fine cause it will be easy to remember. Unless of course your name is Sean or something ...... or Abudluzki Kramanzgha. That would suck.

14 characters isn't too bad at all. And since it's your personal name it's all the more acceptable.

Yes I think that is completely fine. As long as its pronouncable and recognizable you will be fine!

I agree that it is fine that you bought a domain name with your full name.

Long domain names can be as good as shorter ones if there is a quality content. Especially if there are several good and relevant keywords in domain. Majority of Internet users don't type domain names, they click on links to visit them.
