Cool Has anyone here TM'd there Website

I was thinking about trademarking my web addresses. Just curious if anyone else has done so and if it helped them in any shape or form?

I've thought about, and researched, it. But I haven't taken the leap. Our attorney said that using a name first, such as a company name, gives you some protection even without registering the name. However, to sue for damages I think you have to have it registered.

TM's dont have to be registered, they are for general use. R's are registered with the copyright office and cost alot of money. however, if litigation ever became a situation R's are better than TM's.

I've registered several business names throughout the years... pretty much any name I plan to use substantially, especially if it will have close competitors is worthy of a trademark. It's amazing how many people appear with very similar names a few years down the road...

My competitor did, and he forced be to get another name because our names sounded to much alike, so I guess it does work.
