I always include both. Ease of use is a must for all, regardless of internet experience. If anything, i'd wish it was common practice but it's not

But they get alt attributes. So we're safe.

Yes but the content of the alt attribute should be a text equivalent of what is in the image, so that people with screenreaders understand the meaning of the image... so the alt attribute of your logo image should read "Yourcompany logo"

I use a home link in the top menu (if there's one) and in the footer. And another one in the breadcrumb menu.

I use both a link on the logo and a text link, as the logo is used more often, but the text link is good for SEO purposes...

The home page is where my browser goes when I start it or hit the home button when browing the web. I don't want other sites to try and guess what it is, or link to it in anyway.

I have always included a "Home" link. Although most of the time I will also have the logo linked to the home page, as well.

No, we mean the home page of a specific website as in the index.html file. Not the defualt home page in IE or FireFox.

I do include Home link, but I am agreeing with the logo people, home is no longer needed. And this would be more like the code:

    Code:
    <a href="/"><img src="logo.jpg" alt="Company Name"/></a>
No need to have the slash in front of image name either.

I always link back with both. Some users still do not know that you can click the logo.

I find it most annoying when sites don't offer a link to the homepage via logo.

Both. There's not any good reason to do otherwise.

Home doesn't work for me on a contextual basis. So I don't have it as a text link. Just the logo.

I always use a home link. I usually put a lot of content on the homepage of my sites and I want people to be able to find it easily.

One of my last clients explicitly asked to remove the home-link,

    normally I include both though.

i have a home link as well as link the logo. I think the more places someone can click to get to where they're going the less frusturated they're going to be and therefore they'll stay on my site longer.

I have a my company name as text which through CSS gets replaced with an image. With this method I can't have my logo as a link aswell, so just a text link for me.

You should have included an option indicating both. I always link the logo to the home page, but also usually include a text link, if even only in the footer, back to the home page. Most of the time, I'll include a main navigation link back to the home page too.

I do the logo link, plus a 'normal' home link, plus, because I like to see this when I visit websites, since i'm lazy, I have a bottom menu with some links, a link to go back to the top of the page, and another home link.

A "Home" link - absolutely necessary! Steve Krug knows, through extensive testing. I trust real studies more than what people "think".
