Shopping Cart with Paypal - Online Web Store or Software?
Hi all,
I'd like to ask your opinion. I have two different clients, both with no programming experience, who are looking to be able to add/edit/remove products on their respective websites and use the Paypal shopping cart. Because their inventories will change, they need a way that they can feel comfortable adding and editing things directly in their site. I looked across Paypal and found some of their recommendations - most notably with online web stores like ProStores.com or GoDaddy hosting.
My question is - will either of those two hosted solutions allow the customer to use their own website design, or will it force them to use pre-made templates? Is there a software program or script that can be installed that will make it easy for them to add or edit Paypal shopping cart buttons to their own site and do common things such as adding tax, shipping and sending receipts/order comfirmations?
Please let me know what you recommend. Thanks!Sherice Jacob - Web Improvement Expert

Paypal gives you the html for the buttons which you can drop onto any web page.
The question of ASP'd cart .vs. host one yourself has little to do with the layout and more to do with the IT resources of your client and where they wish to focus.

Peter
