    No, I think that runs every 30 minutes. The first thingy is the minutes.

    K, im having troubles with this whole cron job thing...

    this is what iVe done.. probaly did it wrong

    1) I made a file.. "get.sh"
    PHP Code:
    #!/bin/bash
    lynx -source http://www.welcometopenticton.com/uptodate.shtml> index.shtml
    then I made "crontab.cron"
    PHP Code:
    ***** /home/welcometopenticton/www/get.sh
    for some reasson its not showing the extension for hte above line... but it is there

    then at the root level of my server I type
    PHP Code:
    crontab /home/welcometopenticton/www/crontab.crons
    then when I type crontab -l it displays
    PHP Code:
    calypso:~# crontab -l
    # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE - edit the master and reinstall.
    # (/home/welcometopenticton/www/crontab.crons installed on Wed Sep  5 18:37:01 2
    001)
    # (Cron version -- $Id: crontab.c,v 2.13 1994/01/17 03:20:37 vixie Exp $)
    ***** /home/welcometopenticton/www/get.sh

    No, it runs at every hour at 30 minutes, for example: 09:30, 10:30, 11:30 etc. The following would run every 30 minutes:

    */30 * * * * /home/welcometopenticton/www/get.sh

    OK, thanks for the correction, I will remember that.

    OK, in one you use "get.sh" and in the other you use "get.".

    Also, "crontab.cron" and "crontab.".

    You should probably put a number instead of just *s, too...

    2)I got all *'s there because I want to see if works right away instead of waiting an hour
