"can't initialize innodb" error

Hi,

I just installed php and mysql, but when starting up mysql, the message "can't initialize innodb as 'innodb_data_file_path' is not set" flahses on the dos screen.

I need to set it up before tomorrow, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

this may be redundant, but did you check that you have set 'innodb_data_file_path' ?
