Question Suggestions for Midrange Shopping Carts

    Happy New Year!

I'm seeking expert suggestions for an extensible, stable, easy to manage shopping cart. This does not have to be a FREE or CHEAP cart but if with customization it could fit within a $3500 budget, it would definately be a winner.

    Some components that are essential:
    Lay-buy (layaway)
Build-Your-Own (like you would find on a webstore that sells PC's)
    Gift Certificates
    Sales tracking
Mass and single email to customers
    PayPal support
    Authorize.net or Paymatech support

    ------------------------------

Features that would be nice, but are not essential:
    Printable shipping labels / invoices
An accounting feature (Export to Quick Books or similar software)

Thank you, and eagerly awaiting your responses

www.x-cart.com has all the features except layaway. Though they do have a wishlist feature which could be duplicated and possibly customized to replicate a layaway feature.

Thanks to both of you for your suggestions. I am already familiar with x-cart (but I must have layaway capability).

Infosourcing, that was a great suggestion (had never seen this one before) but I failed to mention that it must be able to run on a Linux machine *slaps forehead* - No Microsoft.

So far I have not been able to find any PHP / MYSQL / Apache compliant package that has a Layaway and Build-Your-Own feature

If you like X-Cart, also check out LiteCommerce (made by the same folks). It's more module-based and they have an API on creating new modules. You could probably create a layaway module, or have it programmed within your budget. It's also really customizeable with easy to use templates.
