Problems after installing new Norton AntiVirus version (was Not really a php problem)

    Hi guys

I am facing a strange problem since this morning ... my applications (browser windows, photoshop or flash stuffs) are getting stopped to work all of a sudden (like, clicks are not working, neither left nor right) or in the case of browser windows, they are getting closed suddenly following the deactivated click things.

Not a php related stuff I agree, but not finding a proper place for this type of questions, and thinking someone of you might able to answer me, I thought to put up this problem here.

Two points here, don't know if that has anything to do with this problem.
    1. I am back yesterday after 10 days of holidays, so my computer was switched off during all those days.
    2. Just before leaving, I installed the new Norton antivirus in my computer.

    Thanks for any help ...

    Hi!

First of all, a good place would've been here: Computer Hardware and Software
    Good job Sean

    Concerning your problem:
I've heard of people, having similar problems with NAV. I have no solution at hand, but Google came up with this DoS attack report and more.

    Hopefully i could help.

You need to do the usual things first: spyware (MS AntiSpyware, Ad-aware, Spybot), anti virus search, and then see if any unsual processes are running. Try to Google the name of them to see if you don't know what they are.

    What O/S?
What version of NAV did you install?
Did you install overtop of the old version, or did you do a complete uninstall then fresh install?
Do you have any security packages or utiliy packages installed, such as system works?
