That's all I need and use. (Of course I'll usually also have my email program and web browser open too.)

When I'm away from the computer and I suddenly got a big idea, I would take a pencil and a notepad and start coding PHP on the paper before I forget it ! Then I try at home and I smile like this when it works

That is strangely like my setup. I always listen to Winamp in the background except when my TV is going like right now (Pete Sampras vs. Andre Agassi, yeah!). TV and MP3s playing don't match.

Anyway, here are programs I have open when working on my web site:

    WS_FTP
AOL Press (I use it only to format my HTML and articles, I have grown accustomed to it's neat formatting and thus can't stop using. )
    TextPad
    Trillian
    ZoneAlarm
    WeatherBug
    UD Agent
    NewMail
    Outlook XP/2002
    Several IE windows

    At work:

I'm on Win 98 so I don't have all this open at once

    - Lotus Notes
    - UltraDev 4
    - TextPad
    - HomeSite
    - IrfanView
    - Access 97
    - Color Cop
    - Sometimes Paint Shop Pro, sometimes Fireworks
    - CorelDRAW
    - Adobe Acrobat
    - Windows Media Player (no Winamp allowed)

    On the desk I have:

    - SQL reference
    - CSS reference
    - HTML reference
    - ColdFusion language Reference
    - Notebook with what I'm doing that day plus stacks of other paper
    - Post-Its along the bottom of my monitor for things I have to remember

I don't code at home so much, but when I do I have much the same - though all at once as I'm on Win2k. And I use Winamp
    that's me!

    ok, here I go...

basically the same at work or home:

    DW4 & Homesite 5
    Fireworks or Photoshop
    maybe Flash 5
Outlook (at work - hate it - have to use it)
Outlook Express (at home - hate it - too lazy to change)
NS 6.2 or IE 5.5 or NS 4.7 (various windows checking site in progress)
    maybe FTP Explorer (at home)
WsFTP (at work, since DW4's ftp won't work through our firewall and haven't tried HS 5's)
    Notepad
    coffee or diet coke
whatever snacks I can dig up
Winamp or CD Player or TV (depends on time of day and mood)

btw, those who code asp in Homesite, have you downloaded any extensions or such that help out or do you just do everything from scratch?
