    MySQL Connection String - HELP!

    Hi guys,

I'm porting my site from Win2K IIS 5.0 (JScript) with an Access database to a Chili!Soft ASP Sun Cobalt server with MySQL.

Everything has gone great so far, exept for database access!

I don't know how to set up the connection-string for MySQL. Can anyone help me out?

At the moment I've got this:

    -----

    var sConnStr = 'Driver={Mysql}; Server=servername; Database=dbname UID=username; PWD=password';

    -----

But I get the following error with Connection.Open():

    -----

    ADODB.Connection.1 error '80004005'

    SQLState: S1000
    Native Error Code: 1045
[TCX][MyODBC]Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: YES)

    database.asp, line 96

    Wos goin' on?

Oops... spot the deliberate mistake! I foolishly omitted a semi-colon like the plonker I am.

Now I can connect to the database! yay! Now there's the small problem of the "oRecordSet.MoveNext;" command not being recognised... sigh...

    ASP + MySQL or What?

    Hi,

What language do you use for connecting to your MySQL database? Is it ASP or PHP or else ?

I need some specific info for ASP and MySQL.

    Thanks.
