    Drop shadows with CSS

I'm sure I've read somewhere that it's possible to create a text drop shadow effect using CSS. Does anyone know how this is done?

    Perhaps this can help :

Don't know how widely this is supported.

Thanks for the help, five40. Like you say, it doesn't look very well supported by all browsers, so I think I'll steer clear for a couple of years :-)

Whilst CSS and HTML are awesome, I think they are generally best left to do the simpler tasks like the positioning and behaviour of the page, and should preferably leave images and specialFX alone (like it shouldn't be used to resize images etc...).

If you want drop shadow you are better off using your graphics editor - I am sure it is much better equipped than poor old HTML/CSS!

(not dissing it any way - I just prefer to totally separate which bits of my pages do and are created where...)

Well that's what CSS is supposed to do isn't it?

    Seperation of content and presentation?

Yes -- just didn't want them to think that I was underestimating the power/usefulness of CSS...
