    Squashin

    Hi there,

I was just wondering if there was any easy way to elimatinate layout "squashing" in php or otherwise. As you can see from my homepage http://therecital.hf4l.com/index.php , as soon as a user opens a history bar, makes browser windows smaller, reduces resolution etc , the layout squashes rather uglily verticly. I currently have a smaller window (the main layout) at 90% width centred within a large window 100% x 100%, please help. I guess the best thing would be to make the explorer create a side scrolling bar before it starts squashing. Please help

    Tom

When your working with % values in your layout like that, there's not alot you can do about "squashin".

Soon as the viewport changes size, so do your calculated %'s.

Set some actual sizes in pixels (or whatever your unit of choice is) and that should reduce the problem.
