    Adsense in Your Forums

I see forums like "forums.digitalpoint.com" that have adsense in each thread between posts. Members don't see this....

I'm wondering how they do this and if there is something that will automate this. Or even go back to old threads and implement this? Any ideas?

There are typically mods/hacks that will do this...If you know a bit about templates, it can also be done manually - what kind of forum software do you use?

That should do it...it's labelled as working with 2.0.17, but I'm sure it works with 2.0.18 as well - just read the thread, that question has probably been asked 5 times in there...As far as only letting guests see it, if the mod doesnt include that as an option as is, it could still be done

I gave it a run (it was on for all users) and was disappointed in the results. I guess it would vary by site, traffic, etc. of course, though. I used:

    http://www.askdavetaylor.com/phpbb_t..._articles.html

Anyway, turning it off for logged in users is an interesting idea. Might give it another go at some point in the future. I think I am getting as good performance at the bottom (above the quick reply box) as I did below the first post.

This is all positive. Testing is the key here and in all cases it will only help. For some an ad in the footer works well and for some it doesn't. Test, test, test...
