    SWF in an HTML email

    Hello,

OK. Here is my dilemma. I have a flash movie that I would like to embed into and HTML email. I use Dreamweaver 3 to create the HTML. I send it out.. it works fine on Outlook/Express, and most web based email services. My problem is that folks on Macintosh can't see the animation? My MAC users are using both Outlook Express and Eudora. I've tried OBJECT AND EMBED, and just EMBED. HELP!! What should I be doing, or what am I doing wrong?

Here is where the html is online: http://www.fabriclounge.com/hfly/index.html

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Tony

Im assuming freakysid wasn't much impressed by that link!?

    2 things i'd say:

    1) Are you sure the users have the plugin?

    2) I wouldn't send an email with flash in, and I certainly would NOT send an email with music. Apart from it being really quite annoying, it means it is going to take quite sometime to download.

Your layout for the email itself is great -- I would simply scrap the flash, and provide a link from the email to that page for more information/animated version.

Normally I wouldn't do any sort of ani/music in the email, but the club owner wants to 'WOW' his email list. The other option that he asked me to look into was to actually email a quicktime movie as an attachment out. I told him.... no way.

    Thanks for the input.

you got to sit down with your client and talk about the implications of his suggestions. somewhere you have to draw the line even though its his money.
