how to exec cgi in php file?

OK, usually I'm using SSI command:
    !--#exec cgi="/cgi-bin/somename.cgi" --
to execute somename.cgi in a html file.
now I need to execute comename.cgi to a php file.
    anybody know what's the command?

    thanks in advance.

I am not experienced in this area of PHP, but this section of the manual should provide you with the answers that you need:

try virtual(). that performs an Apache sub-request. maybe it'll work.
