I saw Garfield The Movie and Jungle Book 2 with my kids. They were both very awful.

The One is understandable, but Revenge of the Sith was great! How can you have that one up there without Episodes 1 and 2?

And you guys are crazy, Oceans 12 was a good movie.

Episode II was also bad, I agree, but I found Episode III to be much worse. It had an extra element of predictability because you knew exactly what had to happen by the end of the movie, and - that's all that happened. There were no surprises.

Everyone seems to hate that movie. I've only seen part of it, but it didn't seem that bad at all.

The humor was dumb. The reason I didn't see it in theatres was because I knew exactly what would be in it. Ben Stiller's character gets embarassed, and so does his wife's parents.

Did anybody see Stealth? If you haven't, don't. It was awful. And they killed Jamie Fox too early.

1 - 5 Any movie with John Wayne in it.

He was no good at dancing. I bet James Cagney would dance him right out of town if they were in the same movie. I bet even Gene Kelly could dance him to a standstill. That guy Wayne just couldn't dance.

Glad to see so many other people here dislike Quentin Tarrantino. I don't just dislike his movies... I dislike him. With a passion. It's like a personal vendetta, or something.

Same. I am not sure why though.

I think it has something to do with him ripping of asian directors and passing himself off, in North American, as some innovative and creative genius. When he just a hack.

    Edit:
The greatest example of this is the movie Hero, made in hongkong in 2000, brought over here in 2004. When it was advertised it said something to the effect of "presented by quentin tarantino", when he did nothing for the movie. Mabye, just MABYE he helped bring it over. He probably felt guilty from stealing all their ideas.

Yeah. That and the fact that if you've ever seen an interview with him... his mannerisms, voice, etc. just make me want to hit him--and I am not usually a violent person.

WIRED had an article about "mash-ups" (i.e., that idiotic new word for remix) earlier this year where they praised Tarrantino for "remixing" classic Asian cinema into his own. Sometimes even exactly copying it! He's such a genius! I mean, he takes other people's works and passes it off as his own! It's just so amazing! *roll eyes*

Not to mention his films are hyperviolent for no reason and have this air of arrogance that just bugs me (as in, he thinks he cooler than you and tries to let you know it--and people let him get away with it so it gets worse with each new film he releases).

His movies usually have a couple of funny scenes or lines, but I never pay for them. I just catch them at a friends house a year or two after they come out on DVD when someone is bored and pops one in the DVD player.

    My bottom five:

    5. Eraser- absolutely terrible tripe; worst Arnie film ever, and ripped off Cameron in every scene, especially True Lies; this director is the worst hack on the planet

    4. Last Action hero- the sad thing is, it could have been really good

    3. Anaconda- unredeemable trash

    2. The Avengers- 2 miscast actors, overblown special effects, terrible dialogue

    1. Daylight | Gladiator (tied)
Retro-Ads.net- vintage ads from the 20s-80s.
    NYC-Pics.com- free photos of NYC

I just can't stand to watch his earlier movies. Reservoir Dogs might be my least favorite, actually. The movie is just awful. Pulp Fiction is also awful.

I enjoyed Hero, though, and Kill Bill was tolerable.

I thought Kill Bill was alright also.

Was Hero the Crouching Tiger type film?

Hero was a Chinese film... I think it might have been produced by the same people as CTHD, but it wasn't an Ang Lee film. I found the structure of it to be unnecessarily complicated and rather idiotic (it was all flashback--and not just flashback, but flashback-fantasy, if that makes any sense). I didn't think the acting was that good either. The only good part was the first fight scene. Oh, and as said earlier... Tarrantino really had nothing to do with Hero. I'm not spelling Tarrantino correctly, am I?

Of recent Chinese films, I think House of Flying Daggers is my favorite. It is slow at times, but visually it is stunning. And the acting is a lot better than in others.

I think Tarantino is great, if for no other reason, for the dialogue in Pulp Fiction.
