    Installing Cron Jobs

    If this is not the correct place for this thread, I apoligize

    I am trying to install cron jobs to a site

    Install cron jobs
    Edit files:
    periodic/cmd.php
    periodic/notifies.php

    periodic/imcron.php
    to set correct path to the "inc/header.inc.php" file at the begining of each file.
    Add following cron jobs:

    0 0 * * * php -q /path/to/periodic/cmd.php
    */15 * * * * php -q /path/to/periodic/notifies.php
    Whats the easiest way to do that for a begginner?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi laflair13,

    The easiest way to set up a cron job is via Control Panel -> Cron Jobs (Standard / Advanced option)

    Choose the standard option if you do not have any experience on the intervals. Select your desired intervals from the menu, then input the following command in the textfield:
    Code:
    GET http://www.mydomain.com/file_to_run.php
    Hope it helps.

    The link did not work but I was able to input the cron jobs,

    I am haveing a problem now with the security code coming up, for example:

    "type in the following image" (letters) for some reason the image is not coming up.

    I dont have a clue why.

    I got this error in my logs

    Code:
     PHP Warning: fread(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in /home/sexx/public_html/simg/simg.php on line 59

    [Wed Nov 23 17:50:37 2005] [error] PHP Warning: filesize(): Stat failed for ./images/tmp/bb35d1c37d68c444e3d641656313b51b.png (errno=2 - No such file or directory) in /home/sexx/public_html/simg/simg.php on line 59
    But heres what line 59 looks like:

    PHP Code:
    print fread(fopen('./images/tmp/'.$tmpname'r'), filesize('./images/tmp/'.$tmpname));
    Thanks In Advance

    The code seems fine to me. However, please make sure that the image is in the directory images/tmp/ from your current level.
