Narrowed it down to four carts. Any experience with these?

    Hey all

I'm looking for a shopping cart which will allow me to add nearly 10,000 products under several categories. I've narrowed it down to four choices and was wondering if any of you have had any experience (good or bad) with these carts. They all seem to be pretty popular.

    DigiShop - http://digishop.sumeffect.com
    X-Cart - http://www.x-cart.com
    SquirrelCart - http://www.squirrelcart.com
Turn Key Web Tools - http://www.turnkeywebtools.com

Your experiences and opinions would be greatly appreciated

I use X-cart on all my big e-commerce sites. It is easy to use and well structured so modifications are simple once you get comfortable with the layout.

You really can't beat the price with all of the features it has. There are plenty of addon modules for it too, including a full CSS version.

Is it difficult for the non-programming inclined to set up?

Setup is not difficult at all. Making custom modifications you will need to know PHP, Smarty, and HTML; unless you purchase themes.

For client upkeep they only need to know how to type into text boxes and choose drop downs.

    PHP: www.php.net
    Smarty: smarty.php.net
    HTML: www.w3c.org
