    Oversized residetial delivery carriers?

Many of my products are oversized residential shipments so I do a lot of LTL/Motor Carrier. I use Overnite Transportation for a good portion of them and am only so-so happy with them.

I have tried a couple of specialty, white glove carriers but a 4-6 week delivery time is unexceptable... as well as their fees

Do any of you have a carrier that you feel would deserve a close look? I use Old Dominion and a few other regional carriers from time to time but I really need a reliable, national, oversized, residential carrier. Prefferably one that doesn't ram forklifts into every pallet of goods

    Thanks!

    They must be real big.

I receive shipments from overnite & old dominion alot, between the two I say I have to prefer old dominion. But sorry, I don't ship out anything quite that large.

I use Old Dominion for a good portion of my drop shipments and have been pretty happy, for the most part. ABF has a eComm/Residential division but they just don't give me a warm fuzzy feeling. I have a FedEx Freight account but have never used it. Maybe I'll give them a shot.

Much of the stuff I sell is real big. Real big means large $ sales AND big headaches
