    Help

    Hello

I knew a guy so made a song for me, Its called "Tale of Blacks Maps"
Must say its a good song but the problem is, Is it my song? Can I do whatever I want to do with it?

I dont have any evil plans. Problem is that the guy so made the song died in a car accident

It was hes brother so told it.
But my question is that, Can I publish the song at my site (which is now down)and use the song for blackground music or something?

The song is around 38 megabytes because he never compressed it.
If you want to hear the song(should be legal) then here is the url
    Have a nice day

Unless he awarded you the song in a will, the copyright goes to his heirs.
No, the song isn't yours. It belongs to his next of kin.

    What do you mean?
    he did it for you?
Did you pay him to do the music?
if so, it could be "work for hire", and the music might (MIGHT) be yours

I think if it was work for hire, the recipient would have known it. At least my employers usually know who they employ.

I wouldn't just use it without asking his family.
If he wrote it for you, they will probably be fine with you using it...
    Can you ask them?
