    PHP for GUI Application

    Hi,

I would like to make GUI application with PHP. I have some questions.

    - Are there any other solutions beside PHP-GTK?
    - What is the advantage of using PHP-GTK?
    - Is PHP-GTK still active?

    Thanks,

    AT

    - No. (at least not that I've seen)
    - It's the only PHP libray to create items via a GTK interface.
    - Yes.

Take a look at Zool (Xool) its Firefox only, but if its internal what the heck?

I'd say read up on JS 1.6, support for E4X in FFox 1.5. AJAX compatible too.

I think there was another one, but you had to pay for it. I'm probably wrong, though.

    thanks for the reply

    so ...

    - has anyone used PHP-GTK for real application (enterprise class)?
    - when you develop GUI application (desktop), is PHP-GTK becoming an option?
    - will ever php be used for developing desktop app or will it stuck only for web?

php-GTK not powerful enough to use it now in your desktop application
    (but maybe in the future).

IMO using C# or Visual Basic.net is a good idea.
