What Forums shall I have?
I am planning to open a community on my website but just thought as to which forums should I have?
At present I have no content on my site as I will be directly starting out with the community , so can anybody advice me on which forums to start?
Also since languages programming forums (Server side sripting , HTML and so on) r very common as they r nowadays very commonly found on most if the websites (estimating) so I don't wanna them.
Anyway if you guys have any idea just tell me.
Need to say I'll be having general chat one

What will your website be about? IE, what's the theme?
At the moment, without knowing that, the only other forum I can suggest is an 'announcements' one

I don't have a exact theme but plan it in some entertainment side (majorily) and I am not sure that I will (or rarely) do some serious kind of stuff (like publishing content) on my site.
Thanks for the announcement onemahke

"Entertainment"? That's too broad. You need to find a specific topic and develop your web site around it. At this point, you should be focused on developing your idea and marketing your web site, not adding a forum. That comes later. Take one step at a time, or you might trip.

Thanks for that mjames.
Well I didn't thought that much deep but as soon as I come up with a specific idea I'll surely tell it.

I am confused... In your first post you are talking Server side Scripting and development and then later you are talking Entertainment.
I am with Marc on this one you need to find an area to focus on and start from there. These two things you mentioned don't even have anything in common.
I would start with your favorite activities.. If it is Entertainment, what do you do the most? Movies, Games, Music, TV? From there you can decide where to move on to.

There's nothing to be confused.
I clear meant to say that I don't want languages forums on my site as there r many site providing support for that (such as Edevboards Ikonboard Forums Webmaster forums to list a few) If these r the most demandind one then only I will think to have them or not. I too agree with mjames and mahke so I will tell about my main idea later.
Hopes this clears your doubt.
