    Gap between division placed in another division - ARGHHHHHHH

    Hey guys,

    The content division (blue border) sits inside a container division which is inside an outer division. All paddings set to 0 0 0 0 and same with margins 0 0 0 0. I have cleared and floated the content division to the right. I cannot figure out what the gap is from between the blue division border and the red division border, nor can I get rid of it.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks---

    Are you talking about the small gap on the right? That's there because you've set a left margin and a width (and you haven't actually floated it to the right). Remove the width and the gap will go. Removing the width might also screw up IE though (because IE is crap) so you could add '_height:1px;' and it should be OK.

    XX_width: 380px;
    XXXXXmin-height:500px;

    Thanks, Bon Rouge

    Thanks, Bon Rouge, that worked, and I did not even have to add the _height thing for IE.

    The XX_width: 380px; is what I do when I am developing as I try different CSS combinations...I know, it is stupid, but it is the way that I try things, then "untry" them by XXing them out ....
