    dmoz listing

    Hi,

I asked this question about Yahoo a few months back and am now wondering about dmoz. My site is listed in a particular dmoz category, which I believe is the most appropriate. However, I think that the site should be listed in another, equally appropriate category, but the submission guidelines state: "You should submit a site to the single most relevant category".

Can I (and, if so, should I) submit it again under the second category?

    Thanks.

You can, but the editor will notice that it shows in another category. They may just drop it right there, may add it, or may discuss it with the other editor over which cat it should be in.
They are a real stickler over a site being in only one cat, even if it should be in two.
I am an editor, and even I disagree with alot of the rulings from up high.

It really depends on the sites content and the category and/or categories that you are looking at. Say you are a company that sells hosting you can be listed in the specific "Hosting" cat and also where your business is located in the correct "Regional" cat. Rarely will a site be listed twice in the same tree.
