Stolen by a competitor on Goto

My software name was stolen by a competitor on Goto

If you search goto.com for agentwebranking, the first goto result is one of our competitor. It means that this competitor has bidded for my software name as a targetted keyword on goto (so on altavista, lycos, cnet...). I thought it was against goto.com policy, I am probably too naive ;=) What do I have to do?

    hmmm...

I thought that this was alright to do. I could be wrong, but there are a few companies do the same thing to a few sites I have listed in Goto. I couldn't find anything on the Goto website about this. Try emailing GoTo and see what they have to say. Maybe they can delete that search term for your competitor. It is worth a shot.

Goto recently made it policy that you cannot bid for websites that you do not own.

Its not far of a stretch to have it mean that you cannot bid for terms that are not your copyright.

    Definitely contact goto.
